My case study from WordCamp Melbourne

I recently spoke at the informal, locally-organised conference WordCamp Melbourne, which unsurprisingly covered everything WordPress related. My presentation was a case study titled: ‘Using WordPress for Magazine Publishing’, and while quite macroscopic in approach – I hoped the largely-technical audience found something useful or interesting to take away. All talks were filmed on the day, and after just seeing some heatlthy tweeting action thanks to @publishingtalk and @WPCandy, I’ve been reminded to post here.

As an aside, I’ve currently been working with a publishing client who decided against an open-source CMS and opted for a custom RoR one instead. Without going into the detail, in that instance – it was the best decision for them, so I don’t always pose WordPress to be the be-all and end-all in the magazine publishing world.

Anyway, if you’ve got a spare 20 minutes, happy watching! :)
