  1. Don’t try to take the direct path. Have a look at agency roles – they are hiring left, right and centre. Try and get a marketing assistant, coordinator or executive role. More up from there.

    Start doing work for free for people. Build a portfolio of work and get client testimonials.

    Attend marketing events and network. Many are free.

    The digital marketing industry is in a prosperous phase – and you only have to get out there. Marketing yourself is a great testament of your skills and abilities too!
